I am a Research Associate in the UniSA STEM. My research is focused on environmental health issues, and I am currently working under the NHMRC-funded Healthy Environments and Lives (HEAL) network, in particular within the theme on “Food, soil and water security” investigating the quality of rainwater. Prior to the position at UniSA, I worked with the Victorian Department of Health in Victorian wastewater surveillance program for SARS-CoV-2, which is a part of a national Collaboration on Sewage Surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 (ColoSSoS) project. My main role was to undertake an epidemiological analysis of wastewater in Melbourne and across Victoria, providing intelligence on Covid-19 levels and its variants and associated public health risks to help the Department and the State with decision-making. My background is in environmental health and I completed a PhD at Flinders University studying human zoonotic parasites and advocating for One Health and environmental health approach to control them.

We acknowledge the HEAL (Healthy Environments And Lives) National Research Network, which receives funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council Special Initiative in Human Health and Environmental Change (Grant No. 2008937).
